About Rebekah

Rebekah Chauvin is a St. Louis-based acrylic painter whose work explores the structure, rhythm, and unexpected beauty found in nature.

She received her Visual Arts degree with a concentration in painting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011. After almost ten years away from painting, Rebekah returned to her studio in 2021, rediscovering her passion for the medium and developing the distinctive approach that defines her work today.

Her return to painting began with an unlikely challenge: foundation repairs left nine rectangular holes in her family's basement walls. She began creating paintings to fit those spaces, transforming something broken and utilitarian into something beautiful. That project became the beginning of her professional painting practice.

Rebekah is particularly drawn to organic forms—flowers, water, reflections, and landscapes—and the tension between structure and spontaneity in nature. Her work grew from an earlier focus on architectural landscapes and reflections, where she became fascinated by structure, perspective, and the way light transforms a familiar environment. That interest in structure continues in her botanical work, where she explores the underlying rhythm and order of organic forms.

Her work invites viewers to slow down and see familiar subjects differently—to discover rhythm, complexity, and beauty in the ordinary.

Rebekah exhibits her work throughout the country at juried art fairs and accepts a limited number of commissions each year. She resides in St. Charles, Missouri with her husband and their four children.
