Where Color Grows is a tiny painting for me—just 12" x 12"—but it holds such a special place in my heart. I started it after a walk through the Missouri Botanical Gardens in late spring, where everything felt alive and glowing with color. I snapped a photo of this vibrant little corner bursting with pinks and purples, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
This piece is part of my Botanical Series, which I’ve truly loved working on. There’s something really joyful about capturing the way nature surprises us—how even the smallest scene can feel full of energy and movement. Where Color Grows is my way of holding onto that moment.
