Missouri Botanical Garden SeriesThis painting captures the Linnean House at the Missouri Botanical Garden on a bright, color-filled day, with its long row of arched windows stretching across the scene and reflecting into the water below.
The surface of the pond is dotted with lily pads and floating glass forms inspired by Dale Chihuly, adding unexpected pops of color and movement. These elements create a playful contrast to the steady architecture, while also pulling your eye deeper into the reflection.
My husband took this photo for me on one of our many family excursions here. Our four kids always complain when we tell them that we are going to the Botanical Gardens - again - but they always have the best time once we are there!
