Garden's Edge is part of my Missouri Botanical Gardens series. This piece captures that feeling of standing right at the edge of a garden bed, where everything is growing a little wild. The foreground is full of movement—flowers, leaves, and stems overlapping in a loose, expressive way, with color tucked into every corner.
The fence line and open space beyond create a quiet contrast to all that density, giving your eye a place to land. I was really drawn to that mix of structure and looseness—how the garden can feel both carefully placed and completely untamed at the same time.
